This whirlwind desert journey offers a taste of Morocco’s most iconic landscapes in just two days. Travel from Fes through the Middle Atlas and Ziz Valley to reach the Sahara Desert at Merzouga. Experience camel trekking into the dunes, spend a night in a luxury desert camp, and return to Marrakech via the scenic Draa Valley and Anti-Atlas Mountains. Ideal for travelers with limited time who want to experience the magic of the desert.

01

Fes → Ifrane → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga
Pick-up from your accommodation in Fes at ~ 7:00 AM. Drive through Ifrane, known as “The Switzerland of Morocco,” and the cedar forests of Azrou. Stop in Midelt for lunch, then continue through the scenic Ziz Valley. Arrive in Merzouga by late afternoon. Camel trek into the dunes for sunset, then continue to the luxury desert camp. Dinner and Berber music under the stars. Overnight in Merzouga Desert Camp.

Merzouga → Rissani → Erfoud → Ziz Valley → Ifrane → Marrakech
Early morning camel ride to watch the sunrise over the dunes. Return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4. Depart for Marrakech via Rissani, Erfoud, and the Ziz Valley. Arrive in Marrakech by evening. Drop-off at your accommodation in Marrakech.

Spring (March‑May) and Autumn (September‑November) offer mild temperatures, fewer crowds, and great overall conditions. Summer midday heat in the desert can be intense; winter nights can be cold.
