The journey continues through the Middle Atlas Mountains, with stops in Ifrane and the cedar forests, before culminating in the historic city of Fes.

Ouarzazate → Todra Gorges → Merzouga
Depart from Ouarzazate in the morning. Visit the impressive Todra Gorges. Continue to Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops. Arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset Dinner and overnight stay in a luxury desert camp.

02
Merzouga → Rissani → Ifrane → Fes
Optional sunrise camel trek. Return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4. Visit Rissani, a historic town with a vibrant market. Drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known as "Morocco's Switzerland". Continue to Fes, arriving by evening. Drop-off at your accommodation in Fes.

Spring (March–May) and Autumn (September–November) offer mild temperatures and are ideal for desert travel. Summer can be very hot in the desert, and winter nights may be cold in the mountains.
