You will traverse the golden dunes of the Sahara Desert, visit traditional nomadic villages, explore historic towns like Rissani, and marvel at the dramatic cliffs of Todra Gorge. Along the way, enjoy cultural experiences such as Gnaoua music in Khamlia, discover the seasonal Merzouga Lake, and walk among the palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Errachidia → Merzouga

Pick-up from Errachidia (ERH) Airport or your accommodation. Drive south to the Sahara dunes of Merzouga Overnight in Merzouga.

Explore Merzouga

Visit nomads in their woven tents and learn about their way of life. Enjoy Gnaoua music and dance in Khamlia (Gnaoua village) Visit Merzouga Lake, a seasonal wild lake. Explore Erg Chebbi dunes and a palm grove Return to Merzouga for overnight stay.

Merzouga → Rissani → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley

Depart from Merzouga after breakfast. Visit Rissani, a historic town with a vibrant market. Continue to Todra Gorge, renowned for its towering cliffs. Drive to Dades Valley, passing through scenic landscapes Overnight stay in Dades Valley.

Dades Valley → Ouarzazate → Ait Benhaddou → Marrakech

Depart from Dades Valley after breakfast. Visit Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Africa". Explore the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass. Arrive in Marrakech by evening. Drop-off at your accommodation in Marrakech.

Best time to travel.

Spring (March–May) and Autumn (September–November) offer mild temperatures and are ideal for desert travel. Summer can be very hot in the desert, and winter nights may be cold in the mountains.
